The Boat

Our 2006 Hydrasport 2900VX Express is a well built solid boat and will take you in comfort to the fish or your favorite anchorage, very clean with Yamaha F250 4 strokes.  She has a 23 degree deadrise that can take the chop produced by our mid-atlantic waters. She will easily sleep four people in the roomy cabin. The enclosed head will ensure your privacy. There is lots of room in the cockpit to fight a fish or serve drinks to all of your guests. When the weather turns there is space to stay dry and to watch were you are going.
In July 2015, I installed a new tower for the boat.  Check out the slide show at right to watch it going up.  The work was done by Altist Welding in Poquoson, VA.  Check them out at:
Seaduction is wet slipped at Southall Marina in Saltponds located at 333 Mainsail Drive, Hampton, VA  23664.  She is ready to fish anytime you are.  No meeting at busy boat ramps, just untie and go.   The community is gated and the docks are locked with magnetic keys so your vehicle and gear will be safe and secure while we are out fishing.  Plenty of parking right next to the docks.  The marina clubhouse also has a small ship’s store and restrooms.
A clean comfortable cabin offers bunks and a V-berth to give a break from the fishing day.  On the hot or cold days we can crank up the generator and heat or cool the cabin to keep you comfortable.  Can’t do that on a center console boat.
An enclosed head that offers privacy with a fresh water vacuum flushed toilet.   For the ladies, no need to hold it in all day or have to be embarrassed by sitting on a bucket.
Adjust the digital thermostat to the temperature you are comfortable with.
Small but efficient galley area with microwave, fresh water sink, and small refrigerator for your comfort needs.
A fully functional live well to keep our baits fresh and lively when needed.
A single burner cooktop behind the helm.  I rarely use this and believe it to be a waste of space but available for your use while the genset is running should you desire.  Most cooking by folks aboard is done in the microwave.
A large main fishbox to keep the day’s catch cold.  Additionally, we have a large Boone fish bag for those big fish like swords, makos, or big eye tuna.
A decent sized secondary fish box that normally serves to keep our drinks cold but if we fill our other fish boxes to capacity we can also put fish in here.
Transom fish box that normally serves as bait storage and bait prep area.
Reliable twin Yamaha F250s to get us to the fishing grounds fast.  Props are 4 blade Rev 4 props which handle this boat much better than the standard 3 blade props.
Seaduction is equipped with Raymarine electronics with include C120 Chartplotter, autopilot, CHIRP/downvision Dragonfly fish finder, VHF/AIS marine radio, XM weather satellite weather, and 4KW radar.  Other safety gear include 6 man liferaft, life jackets, EPIRP, SPOT tracker PLB, handheld VHF, flares, and all the required safety gear.
A SPOT Find Me Tracker will give peace of mind to family and friends on land so they can track us in real time.  A link will be provide for you to share with family and friends that pulls up google maps to show where we are in real time.  Kids have a blast tracking mom or dad while they are out fishing.
For the long ride out to the offshore fishing grounds, bean bags sure make the ride comfortable.
Bean Bags
Taco outriggers, double rigged for a long (black) and short (red) rupp nok-outs release clips.  Additionally a center rigger to get the way, way, way back bait in clean water.
A 5 KW Kohler marine generator powers all the 120 VAC needs on the boat from heat, AC, microwave, etc.
If you’ve ever fished on a boat with low gunnels that go below your knees, you’ll appreciate the higher gunnels with padding to fight those big fish in comfort.  Additionally, the toe rails enable you to lock your toes into position for added stability.
LED lighting to light up the cockpit for safe fishing while at night.  I do enjoy night fishing and sometimes that is when the biggest fish jump on your lines.
Custom curtains 360 around the cockpit from Signature Canvas in Phoebus, VA.  When the weather is perfect those center console boats are OK but how often do we have perfect weather.  Keep the wind, rain, and cold off you on Seaduction.
